FAQs
What is concierge medicine?
Concierge medicine is intended to provide patients with excellent, medical care. Concierge medicine is a type of healthcare model that prioritizes personalized and accessible healthcare for patients through a membership-based structure. By choosing concierge medicine, you are investing in a more direct and personalized relationship with your physician. This model allows us to limit our patient load, and ensure that the patient receives more time and accessibility with the physician.
Our goal is to enhance your healthcare experience by focusing on preventive measures, personalized care plans and deeper patient doctor relationship while ensuring that your health and wellness are always at the forefront.
What services are included in my concierge medicine membership?
VIP Medical operates on a yearly membership fee, which covers the cost of services that are provided directly in our office. These services include preventive care, coordination with specialists, medically necessary office visits, extended office visits, telemedicine, personalized plans on healthy lifestyle habits, counseling, guidance and education. In addition the patient is entitled to the following non-medical services which include: timely access to the physician, email access and text message communications, minimal wait times, and same or next day appointments.
It is important to note that while our concierge medical office provides comprehensive primary care services, we recommend that patients maintain their regular health insurance. This insurance is crucial for covering hospital admissions, prescriptions and specialized imaging services like X-Rays, CT Scans, MRI’s, surgeries and other procedures that are outside the scope of our office-based care.
How does billing work?
The services are billed by an annual membership paid either by credit card, check or FSA/HSA.
What happens if I need hospital care?
If the patient needs to see a specialist, Dr.Schor will refer the patient to make sure that the patient receives the care they need. In the event a patient gets hospitalized, Dr.Schor will communicate with the hospital physicians as needed.
